A swaddle is designed to wrap a new born baby to provide comfort and warmth. By keeping arms tucked next the body, they cannot startle themselves awake or scratch their face while they sleep. Our swaddles are expertly crafted from the finest merino wool, with a strong boarder and beautiful decorative stitching finishing it off.

Merino wool comes from the fleece of a specific breed of sheep known broadly as merino. Merino fabric is an incredibly versatile and functional fabric. The high country sheep that our wool comes from are able to withstand extreme weather changes. Hot or cold, this fabric is able to retain heat in cooler weather or wick moisture away to allow breathing in warmer climates. This is perfect for babies who cannot regulate their own body temperatures. Not only breathable but super soft, the fineness of this fabric is incredibly obvious to the touch, feeling more like silk than wool. It will not rub or cause abrasion to a baby’s gentle skin.
