Thank you for choosing to support a local, New Zealand made baby and children's wear brand. When purchasing from our website, there is no minimum order value. To make an order, simply browse our current product offerings and add any items you wish to buy to your shopping cart.

It is important you enter your email address correctly, as this is the primary method of contacting you to acknowledge your order and communicate with you there after. 


All prices are in New Zealand Dollars ($) and include GST sales tax (15%). All prices are correct at the time of purchase, but we reserve the right to change them at any time. 


Products that are displayed on this site are available only while in stock.

While we do our upmost to accurately represent all the colours correctly on our website, how you see the colours can depend on your computer screen when you make a purchase. We are unable to guarantee that the colour you see on your monitor will reflect the exact, true colour of the item once received. However, if you are unhappy and wish to return a product, please read our full Returns policy below. 


We only use the finest quality, natural fabrics for our Wilderling baby and children's wear. When purchasing merino wool garments, cotton or linen - please note that there can be a 5-7% shrinkage after washing. This is completely normal, and has been considered in the design process, but is worth considering when choosing a correct size. 

Please take extra care when washing your merino and silk garments. Always check care-labels for washing instructions and follow carefully. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with use (info@wilderling.co.nz) and we will be more than happy to assist you. Always use approved liquid wool detergents. We recommend the Eco Store Eucalyptus Wool & Delicates Detergent, or something similar to help avoid any damage to your precious garments. Please do not use standard laundry powders for merino wool and silk garments. There are bleaching agents that can eat away at the fabrics surface, causing holes that will degrade the integrity of the garment.

We recommend line drying for all merino wool garments, ideally in the shade as direct sunlight can turn light-coloured fabrics to a yellow tinge. 

Please be aware that due to the nature of merino wool garments, slight pilling on the surface is expected. Especially where areas rub i.e. under arms or between legs. Please never soak merino wool garments or silk in laundry detergent or stain removers, as this can destroy the natural fibres. 

All our fabrics are derived from nature, and minor character flaws are to be expected. If however, there is a major flaw in your garment, please get in touch via our Returns page and we will get back to you right away. 


We use Shopify powered by Stripe, a secure company, who record your details for payment. All credit and debit card numbers are encrypted and the details are never stored. 



We pride ourselves on creating the highest quality baby and children's wear, made to last and be treasured through generations. All our packing and dispatch is done by hand in Queenstown, New Zealand. In the rare instance that there is a fault with a product, please get in touch as soon as possible. We are only too happy to help. 


If you have a fault with you item, please contact us as soon as possible. We pride ourselves on quality (defined as the item being fit for the purpose intended) and will endeavour to repair or replace your item as quickly as possible. If you purchased your Wilderling product through a registered retailer, we are more than happy to deal directly with you. 

Your return possibilities are: Repair, Replacement, Store Credit or Refund.

To return an item you must:

  1. Firstly make contact with us within 24 hours of receiving the item you are unhappy with. If your fault occurs after being worn, please get in touch as soon as a fault is noticed. 

  2. Kindly tell us the situation, including images. 


We do not offer a refund for change of mind purposes, in this instance we can offer a store credit. 

To return an item you must:

  1. Please get in touch within 24 hours of receiving your order and supply your invoice number as proof of purchase. 

  2. Returns are to be shipped back to Wilderling (in Queenstown) at the purchasers expense and in original packaging, within 7 days of the date you received it. 

  3. All returns must be in the same condition as it arrived i.e. unworn, and with the original tags and packaging.


We do not accept returns or refunds on sale items, samples or seconds.


International customers will be responsible for all foreign fees & taxes in their own countries. Please check on your countries official government/customs pages for details. Duties will be payable by you, via email from our delivery company DHL (noreply@dhl.com). 

Please note that we do not offer refunds if you refuse to collect a package ordered, due to customs charges. 



Sometimes an order can be cancelled by our online system, and this may be due to one of the following reasons:

An item is out of stock or discontinued

Payment information is incomplete

Shipping address is incorrect or we do not ship to that area

A duplicate order was placed

Customer request of cancellation

Order is cancelled by us (you will receive a notification about this)

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notification. We therefore recommend that you review these terms and conditions each time you visit the website.
